Kalantiao Toastmasters Club is so named Kalantiao in honor of Datu Bendahara Kalantiaw, a man who promulgated a set of codified laws which was used to govern ancient Filipinos in Panay. Kalantiaw was the the third chief of Aklan who history reveals was just and wise. Dr. Gregorio Zaoide's researches pointed that the real name of Kalantiaw as Lakan Tiaw.
